This video is called "Berserk". I was unable to find the name of the created but his youtube account name is Frakuh. This was my favorite rotoscoped video that I had found. I love the way that the markings start to consume him and they really play into the entire work, it's not just added for looks. I love how the marks become a legitimate creature. This video is experimental because it takes the feeling that you are being taken over by your thoughts and puts it into a nonrealistic dream like setting. I want to do something like this video because I really like the contrast between the video and the markings. Also, I love the style that they used on the tracing and how it's not super tight.

This video is called "Custos" and was made by Nadi Axe. I chose this video because I love the mix of animation and realism. You can still see the video aspects but there is rotoscoping within that makes it unique. This video plays on the ideas that we all drag these ghosts with us and we are unable to detach them. The rotoscoping is the ghosts and the rest is kept in real video. This video is experimental because it plays on a very specific topic but it is portrayed on a deeper level. This video will influence my own video because I want my final video to have a decent amount of the raw footage showing, I don't want it to all be animation/drawing. I think this video showed a very good contrast between the two.

This video is called "Doppelgänger" by Phoua Xiong. I chose this video because I think it does a really good job of showing rotoscoping in a unique way. I love how they played around with different different looking textures which really added to the contrast in certain parts. This video is experimental because it plays on the idea of shapes and feelings and is not exactly straight forward with its plot. This video will influence my own video because I would like to create the cool looking textures in certain parts of my own video.

My idea for my one minute rotoscope sequence is to take a one minute video of myself playing the piano and then add the rotoscoping to seem as if the music was coming alive and basically consuming me. As the video goes on, I will hand draw things coming out of the piano and out of the keys that will start consuming the entire room and moving with the music. This video will be experimental because it will show a dream like situation but a very realistic feeling of music consuming you. This could also play into a fuller movie because it could be the climax scene where all of the emotion pours out and the person finally starts break apart and can't stay in reality anymore. I think that this is a really cool scene to rotoscope because with the hand drawn elements, it will be able to portray the idea of thoughts coming out of you way better than any other technique.
